Big Update By TCS On BSNL 4G and 5G Roll Out
For some time now, there have been ongoing discussions about BSNL’s 4G and 5G services. Delays in the launch had raised concerns among users. However, a recent announcement has brought relief to millions of customers. According to a report by The Economic Times, N. Ganapathy Subramaniam, a senior official at TCS, has confirmed that BSNL’s 4G and 5G services will be rolled out on schedule.
Earlier, India’s Telecom Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia, had stated at the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum that the state-run BSNL would launch its high-speed services next year. Now, TCS has reiterated its commitment to delivering the services as planned.
Timeline For BSNL’s 4G and 5G Rollout
As per the central government’s plan, BSNL is set to activate 4G services at 100,000 base stations by May 2025, while 5G services are expected to launch by June 2025. TCS has assured that the rollout will happen on time, providing much-needed relief to customers. The company revealed that it is actively collaborating with both Indian and global telecom companies to meet the deadline.
The Modi government has emphasized that BSNL’s 4G and 5G networks will be entirely indigenous. TCS and Tejas Networks are jointly working on the project, leveraging their extensive experience and advanced technologies to ensure the successful implementation of this large-scale initiative.
TCS Dismisses Delay Concerns
TCS has outright denied any rumors of delays in BSNL’s 4G and 5G rollout. The company confirmed that it received the contract in July 2023 and was allotted 24 months to complete the project. Work is progressing at full speed, and TCS is confident about meeting the deadline.
In fact, TCS hinted that BSNL might soon make a major announcement regarding its 4G and 5G services. This reassurance has further boosted customers’ confidence in the timely availability of high-speed BSNL services.
