Shah Rukh Khan is not just an actor but an emotion for millions of fans out there. The actor is known as the “romance king” for a reason! Over the last three decades, we have seen Shah Rukh Khan predominantly in romantic roles. Apart from Darr, Baazigar, and one other film, SRK has often portrayed a lover boy. However, the actor has played the antagonist in three movies. While we’ve mentioned two of these films, can you guess what the third one is? If not, let us tell you which film we’re referring to.

The film in which SRK played a grey character was Anjaam, directed by Rahul Rawail and featuring Madhuri Dixit as the lead actress. In this movie, SRK portrayed his fierce side. Released in 1994, SRK played the role of a possessive lover.

About Anjaam

Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a possessive lover, while Madhuri Dixit portrayed a wife seeking revenge for her husband’s death at the hands of her obsessive lover. The song “Chane Ke Khet Mein” from the film remains popular even today. This was the first time Madhuri Dixit and Shah Rukh Khan were seen together on screen. They later collaborated again in the movie Dil To Pagal Hai.

Was Anjaam a Hit or Flop?

Anjaam was made on a budget of Rs 2.65 crore and earned only Rs 9 crore at the box office. The movie was a huge flop, coming after the success of Shah Rukh Khan’s other films Baazigar and Darr in 1993.
